The stitch for Take A Stitch Tuesday http://pintangle.com/tast-faq/ was Sheaf Stitch. This was a fun stitch. It is the horizontal stitch below.
I used the Sheaf Stitch on the curved fan edge of my 4th quarter of my Crazy Quilt Journal Project block for August.
I tatted a smaller flower to complete My Crazy Quilt Journal Project block for August. Eight blocks completed!
The Take A Stitch Tuesday embroidery http://pintangle.com/category/challenges/take-a-stitch-tuesday/
stitch for week 34 was another new one for me, called Linked Double Chain. I don’t think I did it quite right…but I did it.
I used the Linked Double Chain Stitch on the 4th of my August Crazy Quilt Journal Project block http://www.cqjp2012.blogspot.com/ . I have another weeks stitch to add before my August block will be complete.
Take A Stitch Tuesday http://pintangle.com/tast-faq/ used another new stitch for me. It was Pekinese Stitch also called Chinese Stitch. The base stitch is a Back Stitch with another thread woven through it. I used Lizbeth size 20 thread as the base and a punch yarn for the yellow. The orange is all 6 strands of embroidery thread. I liked the orange better.
This was the 3rd week of my August Block of my Crazy Quilt Journal Project. http://www.cqjp2012.blogspot.com/ I used the same combinations of thread as on my TAST above.
The pinned part on the lower left will be part of the 4th quarter of my August Block. It seems a little plain so I am thinking I may add some tatting on the right side. I will have to think about that.
The Take A Stitch Tuesday http://pintangle.com/ week 32 was Cast On Stitch. It is similar to casting on stitches in knitting. I found it to be similar to the Bullion stitch we did in week 20…but this was easier for me to do.
On the 2nd week my Crazy Quilt Journal Project http://www.cqjp2012.blogspot.com/ for august I used a Running Stitch with the weeks Cast On Stitch.
